MINJOO LEE 이민주 (李珉柱, S-Korea):

The horse bows its head and meditates. It appears anywhere on the screen: in a golden cloud or the light. While contemplating through the image reflected on the water, its existence gradually expands, and the reflection on the transparent water gradually develops.

The horse shows light and darkness, peace and anxiety about their afterlife. The reflection of the portrait on the transparent water and the numerous black circles and successive circles around them are all revealing. These horses reflect the artists. The artist, employing numerous brush lines and wrinkles, goes up and down between the present and afterlife, contemplating her mother’s life and agony and her future and protecting her mother.
